Manufactured stone veneer, steel entry-door replacements, and garage door replacements recoup the most portion of their investment in Texas, according to Remodeling magazine’s 2019 Cost vs. Value Report.
Texas is part of the West South Central region’s data for the report, which also includes Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
When it comes to renovations with the lowest return on investment, master suite additions, backyard patios, and major kitchen remodels fall at the bottom of the list with each project recouping around half of their investment costs.
As always, the real return on a homeowner’s investment depends on the local market and demand from buyers, but these data can be a good starting point for homeowners considering upgrades.
